French Classes

Parole de Vie (Word of Life) is located in Sherbrooke, southern Quebec. It is located just two hours east of Montreal and north of Vermont. We are living in an apartment on the campus and have enjoyed beginning to explore the town of Sherbrooke.

Understanding and being able to communicate in French will be imperative to the success of our ministry and daily living in Congo . We will be praying the Lord helps us to be “sponges” like Micah. We are even looking forward to learning words and idioms from our toddler as he picks up the language along with us!

We have met some people who speak English around town. We are finding that many of the young people speak English and people who do not often enlist a young person to translate for them. Either way, people have been so kind and understanding with us while we are in the very beginning of our adjustment to and learning of new language and culture. We look forward to using English less and less each week as we learn.

As we go to classes we are praying that the Lord will give us the mental capacity to keep up with the ever growing mountain of information that we are presented with.

Kelci, Micah and I are soaking up each new experience and enjoying the process of making a new place a home while the Lord has us here!
